1.Brahmi Inscription

  • Discovery: A 2nd-century CE Brahmi inscription found in Dharanikota village, Andhra Pradesh.
  • Details: Engraved on a memorial pillar, written in Prakrit language using Brahmi script.
  • About Brahmi Script:
    • One of the oldest writing systems of India (Mauryan Period).
    • Early inscriptions in Prakrit, later ones in Sanskrit.
    • Precursor to many modern Indian scripts (Devanagari, Tamil, etc.).
    • Found across India and played a crucial role in spreading Buddhist texts.

 

 

2.MLALAD Fund

  • Significance: High-quality data on local climate scenarios, forecasts, and emissions is crucial for effective risk assessments to maintain financial system stability.

 

 

5.Coastal Slag

  • Slag: A composite material containing metal oxides and silicon dioxide, byproduct of steelmaking.
